The tradition of the bridal bouquet started centuries ago in Greece. The bride had various herbs and spices tied around her neck in a necklace, as strong smells were believed to have mystical powers and with them shed evil spirits. These necklaces felt to promote new life, health, and fertility for newlyweds.

Later, women began to use branches instead of necklaces, and it was not until Queen Victoria’s wedding (1840) that use flowers and bridal bouquets were born.

In México, we use three bouquets, which is the central bouquet, the virgin’s Mary bouquet, (which is offered as thanks and to ask for the blessing for the new marriage). The last bouquet is part of the tradition of a Mexican wedding. Single women have to gather at the center of the dance floor. The bride throws the bouquet and the woman who reaches it gives her the “good luck” of getting married soon.

Today different designs, shapes, and sizes are used as they are according to the trend and concept of your wedding. As a tip, this year’s flower is SUCCULENT.

Here are some proposals with this flower!
